The Network since 2002

In 2002, in the wake of the 2000 crisis, StepStone and Totaljobs created a partnership to provide customers with a wider possibility of posting their jobs abroad.

The concept arose from a simple observation: StepStone and Totaljob couldn’t open a new subsidiary in every country, nor could they be the leaders in those new countries. As a result they decided to join forces and, together with Jobs.ch and Irishjobs, they created The European Network.

2002
StepStone and Totaljobs created The Network, while jobs.ch and Irishjobs also participated in this venture.
2003
Kariyer.net (Turkey) joined the Network.
2004
The Network became a worldwide association, including Hotjobs (USA, Canada) and Jobstreet (Malaysia) as new partners.
2005
The Network expanded its partnership to France, Eastern Europe(cvmarket, Pracuj, profesia, profession, jobs.cz), the Middle East and India. In 2005, 8 partners joined The Network.
2006
The Network followed up its expansion to Eastern Europe (jobs.bg,Mojedelo, Mojposao, urbae.com), adding more exotic destinations, such as the Caribbean Islands.
2007
The Network became a formal alliance: The Network E.G under German Law.
A new logo was designed.
The Network took a big step forward in terms of its expansion, welcoming Russia as a new partner. The Network also reinforced its position in France with Cadremploi.
In 2007, 7 new partners joined The Network apart from Russia and France, they also joined the Network CareerJunction, Career, Rabota, Seek, Sprace.cz; Uranus
By December 2007, The Network already had 29 partners and represented more than 60 countries.
2008
In January, a new website with a new URL was created : www.the-network.com
In February, 4 New partners joined the Network, completing more the coverage of The Network - Mexico, Greece, Israel, Spain.- In April Agentina and Morocco joined The Network
