Couple of weeks ago we announced jobsDB as the newest member of the Network, joining our alliance with the leading job board in Hong Kong.

Today, we are excited to welcome jobsDB Thailand to the Network and expand our coverage to a new country.

As a reminder, jobsDB is a leading job portal with substantial presence across Asia. It joins the Network as part of the Australian Stock Exchange-listed SEEK Limited, whose portfolio businesses are already members of our alliance, such as Jobstreet (South-East Asia), Jobberman (West Africa), Manager Online (Brazil), OCC Mundial (Mexico) and Zhaopin (China).

Thousands of employers use jobsDB Thailand’s services. Over 21,000 jobs are posted monthly, and millions of job seekers visit their website every month. Employers have an easy access to over 1.9 million registered candidates, enabling them to efficiently reduce the cost and time of recruitment. The top 10 job functions of registered candidates on Thailand are: 1) Sales, CS and Business Development; 2) Engineering; 3) Information Technology; 4) Admin and HR; 5) Marketing and Public Relations; 6) Accounting; 7) Banking and Finance; 8) Manufacturing; 9) Hospitality and Food and Beverage, and; 10) Management.

As for the job market outlook, jobsDB Thailand had conducted asurvey on the overview of ASEAN labor markets in 2017. Covering Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand, the report studies a comparison between Thai labor market and that of five other ASEAN countries. Of all nations in the report, Thailand is the third in terms of employment-growth forecast. Of all Thailand-based firms who responded to jobsDB survey, 43 percent believe their businesses will be expanding and plan to hire more employees in 2017. About 39 percent other employers, meanwhile, think they will just refill existing positions or hire more when necessary. In Thailand, demand for talented people remains solid in the face of foreign investments in the country particularly in the consumer goods, services and retailing industries.

In the end, the report by jobsDB reveals that 52 percent of job seekers go online when looking for jobs. Online job searches have gained higher popularity partly because of internet and smartphone boom.
