The Network Launches its 5th Global Talent Survey

We are excited to have launched the 5th Global Talent Survey (GTS), the large-scale international labor market and workforce mobility research carried out by The Network and all of our member job boards and other associates.

As you may know, many businesses need skilled workers and want to recruit the best talent in the world, however, knowing exactly where to find them and how to attract them is very difficult. The GTS was developed out of the need to address this issue and to better understand the supply and demand between recruiters and job seekers.
The first GTS was launched in 2006 – since then we have seen a huge growth in the scope of the research:
  • 2006: 8 countries and 21,000 individuals surveyed
  • 2009: 40 countries and 66,000 individuals surveyed
  • 2011: 66 countries and 162,495 individuals surveyed
  • 2014: 189 countries and 203,756 individuals surveyed
The last GTS in 2014 was the Network’s largest international research. There were 32 questions translated into 44 languages. There were around 2.5 million job seekers who started the survey, but not all of them completed it. Our goal for the this wave of the GTS is to improve the reach and the response rate. Also, we are re-introducing the Employer/Recruiter Survey to get insight on both supply and demand of talent in the labor market.
We are excited to report that we have partnered again with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), a global management consulting firm advising clients in private, public and non-profit sectors, including more than two-thirds of the Fortune 500 companies.
